These two drabbles from a Draco/Ginny fic that I'm almost finished with called "Memories of a Lover Passed":
She slept in his bed while he died.
Ginny Weasley never forgave herself for being warm, comfortable, and safe while the man she loved was cold, tortured, and murdered. Draco Malfoy, spy for the Order of the Phoenix, was captured by his father and sacrificed to the Dark Lord. The next day, Ginny went down to breakfast at Grimmauld Place, looking forward to her mother’s eggs and toast. Instead, Ginny was greeted by the sight of Professor Dumbledore, sitting at the kitchen table, watching her intently over his half-moon spectacles. Looking into the eyes of her mother, she saw sympathy and tears, and knew Draco was lost forever.

“I don’t want to be a Death Eater. I don’t want to be my father.”
Ginny felt her breath hitch in her chest. Draco turned to her at the sound and slightly lifted the corner of his mouth, attempting a smile.
“I am happy to hear it, Mister Malfoy. Professor Snape and I have begun making arrangements for you.” Draco turned away from Ginny to stare, wide-eyed, at the Headmaster. “In two months you will be graduating and it would be best if you did not go back to Malfoy Manor. I have arranged a room for you at our head quarters. |

A Tale of Woe

Enter young heroine, to weave a web of truth
where love, honor and loyalty can provide the proof.
Dance visions of light in the eyes of men
and be a beacon for the lost of them.
Never despair, for you have the greatest gift,
one that will surely mend any rift
between love and hate and the emotions in between,
for you are the visionary that will be seen.
Enter lost hero, to be guided on your way
to a retribution that will come someday.
Follow the girl the believes deeply in you
and you will find that all dreams shall come true.
Never lose faith, for there hope dies;
avoid the entrapment that will tangle you in lies
of fear, death and immortality;
a path that leads you towards solitary.
Together you must pass a test,
one that will leave behind all the rest.
Dive into an unknown world of trickery and demons,
but be sure to avoid their evil summons.
Stay close to each other and use your strengths,
and tell yourselves you’ll go to any lengths
to avoid being players in the vengeful show,
a tragedy called: A Tale of Woe. |

Lost Without You

I have wept for the darkness in your heart,
the pain in your soul and weakness that had to start.
It was wrong for me to think so highly of you.
Your father was the enemy and I should have known he’d get you too.
Don’t go.
Please, go slow.
Tread softly over the grave you have made for me,
near the steps of Hogwarts for young lings to see.
He called for you and you went to him,
I should have known that the Dark Arts wasn’t just a whim,
for you and now I pay the price
of a love gone cold through my sacrifice.
Don’t go.
Please, go slow.
Somehow, I think that you don’t care
about what happens to a girl so fair.
It was horrid of you to think I was so strong
couldn’t you see what went wrong.
Draco, you chose the evil over me
and left me alone for all the world to see.
Well, you should be glad that they proved us wrong
and now I’m thrown into the throng
of everyone that was against us from the start
so now we are apart.
I am lost without you,
but now I’m calling out for you
to come back to me and leave the mask behind
even though you can’t accomplish anything that kind.
Don’t go.
Please, go slow.
I gave up everything for a dark prince
and now I wish that I could rinse
the sins away that you left upon me
a mark imprinted in the heart of me.
If I had chosen a different path
it might have saved me from your wrath
of terror and of uncompromising hate,

Author's Notes: I would like to thank the mods of this exchange for being so understanding with my situation, and because of the extra time I had the chance to mold this fic into something much better than the jumble of plot pieces I couldn’t puzzle together.

Prompt:Briefly describe what you’d like to receive: Honestly, I'm not picky. I like smut. I like fluff. I can even deal with some angst as long as there is a happy ending for Draco and Ginny.
The tone/mood of the fic: As I said, all I really require is a happy ever after.
A theme/element/line of dialogue/object you want in your fic: Snarky comments are fun. Jealous! or Possessive!Draco is a favorite of mine, if you really need something to aim for.
Canon of AU? Isn't D/G pretty much inherently AU? Either is fine.
Rating of the fic you want: Anything. If you like writing smut, I'm not opposed to reading it! :D A G-rated bit of fluff will make me happy and squeeful, too, though.
Deal breakers (what don’t you want): I don't want Draco or Ginny to be in love with anyone else. They can be with other folks initially, but D/G should be the only true love. Nothing too kinky - I'm not into self-mutilation, bestiality, or other such fetishes.
